As a pool maintenance expert, I have had the opportunity to test and review numerous automatic pool cleaners. After thorough testing, I can confidently say that the Dolphin Explorer E50 robot pool cleaner is the top choice for cleaning any inground pool. With its powerful motor and excellent suction, this cleaner effortlessly cleans stairs, walls, floors, and even the waterline. It's no wonder we call it “the Ferrari of cleaners” for its exceptional cleaning ability. Let's face it, keeping a pool clean can be a big headache.
But with a robotic pool cleaner, you can spend less time maintaining and more time enjoying your swimming pool. These easy-to-use models are designed to make pool maintenance a breeze. When we opened our pool for the season, it was covered in a thick layer of leaves, dirt, and branches. The Dolphin Explorer E50 robot pool cleaner easily picked up both large and small debris, and even collected finer debris with its double-filtered waste basket. The basket is also large enough to clean the entire pool without having to empty it.
And with its lightweight design and built-in handle, we could easily drop the cleaner into the pool with one hand. One of the standout features of this cleaner is its quiet operation. It didn't make any noise when cleaning underwater, and we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was even while cleaning on the waterline. If you're looking for a robotic cleaner that keeps your pool spotless, we highly recommend the Aiper Seagull SE robot pool cleaner. While it may not be as powerful as some of the more expensive models we tested, we were impressed with its performance. During our tests, this cleaner collected almost all of the debris from the bottom of our pool.
It's particularly effective at sweeping up pollen and smaller debris, but may struggle with larger debris such as leaves. The Aiper Seagull SE is compatible with both inground and raised pools, and its wireless design makes it a great choice for larger pools. The battery also fully charges in just 2.5 hours, so you won't have to wait long between uses. And with its intelligent technology, this cleaner navigates the pool and collects waste with ease. One of the things we loved about this cleaner is its simple controls. You can easily optimize the cleaning routine without having to modify a lot of different settings.
Simply drop the cleaner into the pool and press the power button. It only has one speed, but it includes a programmable timer so you can set the frequency of cleaning. The Aiper Seagull SE comes ready to use right out of the box, with the filter already installed. It also includes several filters for different types of waste, including a fine cartridge filter, an ultra-fine cartridge filter, and a large fine filter bag. If you have an elevated pool, we highly recommend the Dolphin Escape robot pool cleaner. During our tests, our pool was located next to a tree, so it was full of leaves and branches.
This cleaner was incredibly effective at collecting all of the debris with its large waste cartridge. Its rollers also helped it navigate and clean the pool easily, while the rubber tracks prevented it from slipping off the pool surface. The Dolphin Escape is equipped with a 40-foot cable that never tangled during our tests. Our pool had visible dirt and leaves from nearby trees in the water, but this cleaner had no problem cleaning it all up. It even climbed walls and scrubbed tiles with ease.
And with its top-loading filter, it's easy to remove for rinsing and cleaning. This cleaner is also great at climbing walls, even with sharp corners and little curve in the transition between wall and floor. It's ideal for scrubbing walls, but keep in mind that it doesn't clean the waterline. The only area where it struggled a bit was in the narrow corners of the deepest part of our pool. However, overall we were impressed by its cleaning performance.
And with its large filter tray, it can trap all types of debris and is easy to remove for rinsing. One thing to note is that the extraction cable may be too short for deeper pools. We had to manually vacuum the deepest part of our pool, but this wouldn't be an issue in a smaller pool. We were also impressed by how well this cleaner navigated our pool, even climbing onto a recessed seat at the end to scrub it. The only downside to this cleaner is that it doesn't clean the surface of the water to collect floating debris. However, we found that the surface was never very dirty because the robot was so effective at scrubbing the floor, walls, and waterline.
The only area where it couldn't clean was our stairs, as they were too short for the robot to detect and climb. After testing two dozen robotic pool cleaners at home, we have determined that the Dolphin Explorer E50 is the best overall cleaner for its exceptional cleaning performance with both large and small debris. We love that it can be customized for a deep clean or a quick touch-up. And while weight is an important factor when choosing a robotic pool cleaner, most models are light enough to easily maneuver in and out of the pool.
