The Best Automatic Pool Cleaner for a Hassle-Free Swimming Experience

As an expert in the pool industry, I have tested and reviewed numerous automatic pool cleaners. And after thorough testing, I can confidently say that the Dolphin Explorer E50 robot pool cleaner is the most reliable and efficient cleaner on the market. Not only did it score perfectly in our tests, but it also exceeded our expectations in terms of cleaning performance and ease of use. Let's face it, maintaining a clean pool can be a daunting task. But with a robotic pool cleaner like the Dolphin Explorer E50, you can spend less time cleaning and more time enjoying your swimming pool.

This powerful cleaner has excellent suction and a strong motor that effortlessly cleans stairs, walls, floors, and even the waterline. We were so impressed with its cleaning ability that we even nicknamed it “the Ferrari of cleaners”. When we tested it on our pool after opening it for the season, it effortlessly picked up a thick layer of leaves, dirt, and branches at the bottom. And not just large debris, but also finer particles thanks to its double-filtered waste basket. The waste basket is also large enough to clean the entire pool without needing to be emptied. And with its lightweight design and built-in handle, we could easily drop it into the pool with one hand.

The Dolphin Explorer E50 also operates quietly underwater and on the waterline, making it a great choice for those who value peace and quiet. If you're looking for a robotic cleaner that will keep your pool spotless, we highly recommend the Aiper Seagull SE robot pool cleaner. While it may not be as powerful as some of the more expensive models we tested, it still performed exceptionally well in our tests. It collected almost all the debris from the bottom of our pool, making it ideal for sweeping up pollen and smaller debris. However, it did struggle with larger debris such as leaves. This cleaner is compatible with both inground and raised pools, and its wireless design makes it perfect for larger pools.

The battery also fully charges in just 2.5 hours, so you won't have to wait long between uses. And with its intelligent technology, the Aiper Seagull SE navigates the pool and collects waste effectively and efficiently. One of the things we loved about this cleaner is its simple controls. You can easily optimize the cleaning routine without having to fiddle with multiple settings. Simply drop it into the pool and press the power button.

It only has one speed, but it comes with a programmable timer so you can set the frequency of cleaning. The Aiper Seagull SE comes ready to use straight out of the box, with the filter already installed. It also includes several filters for different types of waste, including a fine cartridge filter, an ultra-fine cartridge filter, and a large fine filter bag. But if you're looking for a cleaner that can thoroughly clean elevated pools, then the Dolphin Escape robot pool cleaner is your best bet. During our tests, our pool was located next to a tree, so it was full of leaves and branches. But the Dolphin Escape was up to the task, effectively collecting all the debris with its large waste cartridge.

Its rollers also helped it navigate and clean the pool with ease. And thanks to its rubber tracks, it never slipped off the pool surface. The Dolphin Escape comes with a 40-foot cable that never tangled during our tests. Our pool had visible dirt and leaves from nearby trees in the water, but this cleaner tackled them all with ease. It even climbed the walls of our pool, which had sharp corners and a minimal curve in the transition between the wall and floor. While it's great for scrubbing walls, keep in mind that it doesn't clean the waterline.

The Dolphin Escape also struggled a bit in the narrow corners of the deepest part of our pool due to its delicate shape. But overall, we were impressed by its cleaning performance. And with its large filter tray, it can trap all types of debris, making it easy to remove and rinse. One thing to note is that the extraction cable may be too short for deeper pools. We had to manually vacuum the deepest part of our pool, but this wouldn't be an issue for smaller pools.

During our tests, we also saw how the Dolphin Escape climbed up the walls and scrubbed the tiles with ease. It even climbed onto a recessed seat at the end of our pool to give it a thorough clean. The only downside to this cleaner is that it can't scrub the surface of the water to collect floating debris. However, this wasn't much of an issue as it was highly effective at scrubbing the floor, walls, and waterline. The only other drawback is that it couldn't clean our pool stairs as they were too short for the robot to detect and climb. After testing over two dozen robotic pool cleaners, we can confidently say that the Dolphin Explorer E50 is the best overall cleaner for its exceptional cleaning performance on both large and small debris.

We also loved its customizable cleaning options, making it suitable for both quick cleanups and thorough cleaning sessions. And with most robotic cleaners being lightweight, you won't have any trouble getting them in and out of your pool.
